As part of the 1619 Project, Liz Wright was televised on the front steps of Nina SImone's ancestral home. As is true of many Easter seaboard homes, the porch ceiling was painted 'haint' blue. In this piece the 'haint blue' holds the steady stare of Ms. Simone.
